Kathryn Romine grew up in Brighton, Massachusetts and graduated from Michigan State University. With her medical degree, she worked for twenty years as a Child Psychiatrist in Wisconsin. Retiring to a horse farm in Michigan, she spends time with her husband and two dogs. Living in Naples for nine years now seasonally has afforded her the time to grow and care for over 400 orchids. Kathryn loves growing orchids from seedlings and mericlones. Her orchids surround their Naples residence in the trees and her backyard, where she spends much time watering and caring for them. Her favorite time of year is displaying her orchids in shows. With skill ( and asking lots of questions), she has produced award winning orchids.
